Giorgia Pezzolato, widely recognized by her artistic alias Gleonnisse, or affectionately referred to as Gleo, is a versatile creative professional who has carved a niche for herself in the realm of art and design. Born in Rijeka, Croatia, in August 1995, Giorgia Pezzolato's life story commenced amidst the closing days of the Croatian War. Two days after her birth, she was relocated to Trieste, Italy, where she spent her formative years. While she retains a strong connection to her Italian heritage, her creative spirit draws rich inspiration from her Croatian lineage on her mother's side.

Gleo's educational journey is a testament to her unwavering passion for textiles and design. She embarked on this path at the University of Textile Technology in Zagreb, Croatia. Her academic voyage began with a Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering for Textile Design, a four-year exploration of the intricate world of textile engineering, from 2015 to 2019. Her dedication and profound commitment to her craft led her to continue her academic journey with a Master's degree in Costume Design for Film and Theater, awarded in 2022. Her formative years prior to university were enriched by her attendance at E. and U. Nordio High School in Trieste, Italy, where her acumen for fashion and costume design began to flourish.

One of Gleo's remarkable talents extends beyond the realms of design – it's her innate gift for languages. Her bold move to Zagreb, armed with only a rudimentary grasp of the Italian language, served as a catalyst for her linguistic odyssey. Fueled by passion and determination, she mastered Croatian (C1) and English (C1) to perfection. This journey of self-discovery spurred her to delve deeper into the world of languages, subsequently embracing Spanish (B2.2) and French (A2) during her Master's program, expanding her cultural horizons and strengthening her global outlook.

Gleo's journey in the world of art and design began with a strong foundation in textile engineering, which provided her with a deep understanding of materials, textures, and patterns. This knowledge has been a driving force behind her innovative approach to art. Her advanced studies in Costume Design for Film and Theater allowed her to merge her technical expertise with a deep appreciation for storytelling and aesthetics.

Gleo's professional journey is marked by a plethora of accolades and diverse experiences. She is renowned for her keen eye for detail, a passion for storytelling through design, and an unwavering commitment to bringing characters and narratives to life. Her costumes have graced the stages and screens, enriching the visual storytelling of various productions.

The year 2015 marked her entry into the world of fashion with her participation in Umag Fashion Night in Croatia, where she unveiled a collection bearing her distinctive signature. In 2017, she made a profound impact as both designer and model in the thought-provoking fashion show, "How a Mask Changes You," held at the Ethnographic Museum in Zagreb. Her innate creativity shone brilliantly in her meticulous reconstruction of Madame Pompadour's exquisite dress (1759) for the Faculty Day at the Faculty of Textile Technology in the French Pavilion in Zagreb, leaving an indelible mark.

Gleo's creative journey continued with collaborations and honors. In 2018, she made significant contributions to the Fashion show of renowned Croatian designer Matija Vuica as a Guardarobier/organization assistant at the majestic Trakošćan Castle in Varaždin. A crowning moment arrived in 2019 when she was honored with the Rector's Award for her exceptional role as a costume designer in the "Bauhaus Reflections" music-scenography project at the prestigious Klovićevi dvori gallery in Zagreb.

Her career reached new heights in 2020 when she emerged victorious in the Costume Design Competition of "Fifth Element Workshop." Her exceptional talents once again took center stage in the Aristophanes' Birds EDU exhibition, where she showcased her artistry as a costume designer for the opera "Pepeljuga," a collaborative effort between the University of Textile Engineering, the Academy of Dramatic Art, and the Academy of Music. Her work in the production earned her another Rector's Award, underscoring her creative brilliance.

Gleo's portfolio blossomed with her role as a college demonstrator, where she shared her knowledge and skills in subjects like "Fundamentals of Color Theory" and "Dyeing and Printing" in 2020 and 2021. She showcased her artistry at the international biennial textile exhibition "BIEN21," where her costume design drew acclaim and earned her another Rector's Award. Her repertoire expanded to encompass costume design for theater dramas, short films, and feature films, each project a testament to her storytelling prowess.

Between 2022 and 2023, Gleo's artistry flourished as she assumed the role of costume designer for five short films: "Šutim na sav glas," "Cardio," "Ruksak," "Jematva," and "Plava lasica," each bearing the unmistakable stamp of her creative brilliance. Particular attention was garnered by her work on the movie "Jematva," for which she meticulously designed and crafted five out of the six featured costumes.

In 2023, Gleo embarked on a new chapter of her artistic journey as a Set Costumer for the Croatian TV series "Kumovi," produced by "Nova TV" in Zagreb, Croatia. She further lent her expertise as a costume designer for the short movie "Dinner for Four" and the feature film "Među nama," produced by Blank_filmski inkubator.
